GU10 Module Spotlight IES Test
Oct 20, 2026

At WeiYe LED, we are committed to providing private mold LED modules that combine reliable performance with visual comfort. The product has completed full‑scale photometric IES testing, generating complete optical parameters including luminous performance data and standardized UGR (Unified Glare Rating) datasets for lighting designers, specifiers and global project partners.

The 12 W GU10 module delivers excellent electro‑optical performance under standard lab test conditions. Tested at 219.90 V input voltage, the module operates at 0.0634 A current with actual power consumption of 12.996 W and power factor reaching 0.9326. It produces total luminous flux up to 1261.02 lm, with luminaire efficacy hitting 97.03 lm/W, delivering obvious energy‑saving benefits compared with traditional halogen GU10 light sources.

According to goniophotometric test results, this GU10 module follows CIE DIRECT light distribution, with 100 % luminous output directed downwards and 0 % upward light flux. Its maximum luminous intensity Imax reaches 1977 cd, and the average 50 % beam angle is 49.0 degrees, creating smooth and concentrated spot lighting effect. The CIBSE SHR nominal value is 0.50 and maximum value is 0.70. The full IES photometric file is available for DIALux, Relux and other lighting simulation software, supporting precise lighting calculation for retail, hospitality, museum and residential accent‑lighting projects.

Our latest lighting test report includes complete UGR (Unified Glare Rating) data, which helps evaluate the potential discomfort glare produced by a lighting installation under specified conditions. The report presents UGR values under different room dimensions, observer positions, and viewing directions (viewed crosswise and viewed endwise).

Key Highlights of the UGR

  • UGR Evaluation: Provides glare rating data under different simulated indoor lighting conditions.

  • Multiple Room Configurations: Covers various room dimensions and observer positions to support lighting assessment.

  • Visual Comfort: Helps lighting designers and customers evaluate glare control for residential, commercial, and hospitality lighting applications.

  • Quality Commitment: Demonstrates our focus on product performance, technical testing, and continuous improvement.

UGR is an important consideration when selecting lighting for offices, hotels, retail spaces, and other indoor environments. A lower UGR generally indicates less discomfort glare under comparable conditions. However, the final on‑site UGR value depends on the complete lighting installation, including luminaire characteristics, fixture layout, mounting height, room surface reflectance, and actual observer position.

This GU10 module supports simple and fast assembly. It fits multiple mainstream application scenarios: retail shop accent lighting, hotel corridor & guest‑room lighting, gallery exhibit highlighting, and high‑end residential recessed spotlight applications.
